About Us

Florist One was established in 1999 and we’ve delivered more than 1.5 million flower orders across the United States and Canada.

Local florists hand-deliver our flowers. Our florists don’t pay us a fee to be part of our network which allows us to choose who we work with based on the quality of their work.

We grew out of a third-generation, family florist business on Long Island, NY in 1959. This gives us extensive knowledge of the industry. We specialize in the flowers for the funeral industry and have been the trusted flower provider to over 2,000 funeral homes—almost 10% of the market.

Customer Service

You can contact us by phone, email, or text.

We strive to answer calls immediately and if we have to put you on hold, the wait is usually brief. Emails and texts are answered by a customer service representative—not a computer—often within minutes.

We listen to our customers, partners, and employees to refine our service and to ensure everyone is treated fairly.

Technology

Florist One is a leader in innovative technology in the flower industry. Here are some of our milestones.

1999: One of the first florists to establish online flower sales.

2007: Created Social Flowers and became the first company that allowed Facebook users to send each other real flowers.

2009: Developed the Florist One API, the first of its kind, that allowed our funeral home partners to embed flower sales into their website and choose their local florists.

2013: Launched Obituary Assistant, a free plugin that lets you publish and manage obituaries on your website while earning you money. Obituary Assistant is used by hundreds of funeral homes.

2014: Developed technology for Social Flowers and became the first company to allow users to send real flowers through text, email, and social media.

2019: Launched Picture Service to provide customers a photo of the flower arrangement they sent. We are the only national flower company to offer this service, which fulfills a frequent customer request, and helps us choose the best florists.

2022: Created Loving Memorials, an online memorial website service, that ensures the life of a loved one is remembered and celebrated by family, friends, and future generations.
